Bags Made Out of Bags!

I’ve been over at Lydia’s (Mathew’s little sister) house quite often, recently…  We’ve been making bags out of bags…  It’s real fun, but harder than it looks…  In fact, I messed up so drastically in the crocheting process that I have to start over again.

Steps for Making a Fairly Large Tote

Step 1:  Collect or buy 100 some bags

Step 2:  Cut the handles and the bottom off.  (You can do a couple of bags at a time.)

Step 3:  Fold vertically 2 times.

Step 4:  Cut horizontally into 1 – 1.5 inch pieces.

Step 5:  Once finished cutting, make sure your peices create loops.

Step 6:  Figure out how you want your bag to look.  (If you want random or organized.)

Step 7:  If you chose random then you won’t have to make your yarn in a particular order.  However, if you want it organized then you’ll have to seperate the colors.

Step 8:  Once you’ve figured it all out, start making yarn.  To do so take two loops.  Put one under the other.  Now put the one you just put under through itself.  Tighten until the knot is small.  Be careful not to stretch the loop.  Once you think you have enough yarn for the size of a ball start rapping.

Step 9:  I made 13 balls just to make sure I wouldn’t have to make any more…  Believe me, you won’t want to do more!

Step 10:  Once you’ve got your balls, take a break.  Your fingers are going to need some rest.

Step 11:  Once you’ve taken a sufficient nap, start crocheting in a circular motion.

To be honest this post is long as it is, so if you’re interested and want more in depth details on how to crochet the bag, I’d be happy to email you or make an appointment to teach you…  Take some time to think about it, it’s a big under taking!

Yours Truly,

Daisy

P.S.  Hope to right more soon!  Have utter patience with me…

Here is what one looks like.  Pretty cool, right?  Still working on mine, so not that big yet!

My Tiara

Many of you are probably gazing at my cute purple tiara, wondering why in God’s name I’ m wearing it, right? Well, let me answer that quickly. No, it’s not my birthday. Actually, my sister’s was yesterday. No, I’m not a princess (though I’d like to be)and no, I’m not seeking attention. Wearing this tiara was a spur of the moment and wearing it makes me feel special! Come on guys, isn’t it fun to dress up once in a while and be little again? The reason I wore this tiara was to prove that though I’m almost fourteen I can still have just as much fun as I did years ago without being embarrassed! So, there you go! I hope your satisfied with my response and who knows, maybe everyone will start to wear tiaras like Lydia and I! Maybe after wearing one you’ll feel happy enough to stop gossiping and causing drama in this school! Sorry, my sarcasm goes overboard quite quickly. I’m just sick of everyone starting things and never being satisfied unless some kind of stupid argument is going on. Thank you all for excepting my tiara into your world. Now, have fun watching this week’s video!
